To mist or not to mist…what’s the consensus? Do I follow the plants app and mist a good number of plants or not. I mist with distilled water. Someone previously posted that I shouldn’t be misting my Alocasia…what about calatheas, pothos, pilea, etc.? I just added a diffuser to help with humidity and had my husband adjust the humidity level on the furnace.

I mist my Calatheas frequently and they are thriving. For me it helps keep them cleaner than when I don’t mist so it’s more of a maintenance thing for me

I don’t most any plants as I personally don’t think it does anything if anything it can make leaves soft if air circulation is bad. With stand on the left what glow light are u using underneath each shelf ?

Do you find they give off enough light?

No issues so far. I run them on a 12hr timer.

My Calathea is the only plant I’ll mist religiously. I’ve noticed since running a humidifier by it once a day that the leaves look a lot healthier than they did previously. I don’t mist my Pilea, i used to but it started dropping leaves like crazy when i did so i figured it didn’t like it

If you have a diffuser I wouldn't think you need to mist but I never mist my plants bc a botanist I saw on youtube said its useless but I've heard both so when my plants are struggling I put them in a humidity dome
