Please tell me I can get rid of this rubber plant, it’s been such a pain since i got it. Is it finally dead?

The stem seems to be rotted - personally I don’t think it would be savable at this point

Sadly it looks to have been overwatered. If you pull it out of the soil look at the roots, if they are all mushy or black, it probably cannot be saved.
