Does anyone know how I could put a hole into this plastic Alabama cup? This little guy has been in this cup for I don’t know how long, my mom gave it to me to plantsit until she moves into a new place. But it’s just a regular cup, and therefore no drainage holes. I realize that may be the reason the leaves are so small and also shriveling up. Plus, the tip of the new leaf is browning and it has not unfurled in the 2 weeks since I’ve had it. It’s a peace lily by the way. The first picture is how it looks now, the second on the right is how it looked when I got it. Many leaves just gone 😢

Soldering iron, drill, hot metal object, or a hammer and nail would all work (be careful)

Maybe just repost it for her?

I want to, but the cup sorta has significance. The plant is actually a separation of a mother plant from my grandfathers funeral, and the cup is one he used to use all the time. Plus he was a big Alabama football fan. I know it means something to my mom and although I asked if she would mind if I found a new pot for it, I would just like to keep it in this one for her if I can cause I know she would really rather that even though she said it’s ok.

While it’s out of the pot I’d recommend drilling holes into it or hammering a nail into the bottom to great drainage holes (as Tree Muncher said)
