Two questions for y’all, I dropped something on my Zz and broke 3 branches, as you can see I cut them, should I cut it down to the dirt? And my second question is will these propagate like this? see 1st pic. 🤍🌱

TellieMy experience with this issue on my zz plant. Was my zz sucked all the nutrients out of the broken ones and regrew new ones later down the road. Good luck 🍀

The rhizomes will regrow. I had a bucket full of rhizomes after I cleaned up two gigantic plants and lots of stalks died or fell off. It’s been 6 months or so and the rhizomes almost all have grown new plants. The stalks that broke off though did not survive either in water or dirt

You can also try a propagation hormone to add to the water. They take awhile to start showing roots but the hormone helps it a bit!
