Tradescantia?

I 2nd this. Looks like a purple-heart tradescantia! They are basically weeds and grow anywhere. They are drought tolerant and very hard to kill! Pinch the leaves to encourage more of a bushy plant. They like full sun. Hope this helps 😊

Tradescantia, commonly known as spiderwort or wandering jew, are popular houseplants known for their attractive foliage and easy care. Here are some tips and tricks for caring for Tradescantia: 1. **Light**: Tradescantia plants prefer bright, indirect light. They can also tolerate lower light conditions but may not grow as vigorously. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. 2. **Watering**: Water your Tradescantia when the top inch of the soil feels dry to the touch. It's important to avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. Allow excess water to drain from the pot, and never let the plant sit in water for extended periods. 3. **Humidity**: Tradescantia plants appreciate some humidity, so if you live in a dry climate, consider misting the plant occasionally or using a pebble tray to increase the humidity around the plant. 4. **Temperature**: These plants prefer average room temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). They can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures, but it's best to avoid exposing them to cold drafts or temperatures below 55°F (13°C). 5. **Soil**: Use well-draining potting soil for your Tradescantia. A mix designed for indoor plants or a combination of peat moss, perlite, and coarse sand works well. 6. **Fertilization**: Fertilize your Tradescantia during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength. Fertilize every 4-6 weeks to support healthy growth. 7. **Pruning**: Regularly pinch back the growing tips of the plant to encourage bushier growth and prevent legginess. You can also trim back any leggy or straggly growth to maintain a more compact shape. 8. **Propagation**: Tradescantia plants are easy to propagate. You can propagate them from stem cuttings placed in water or directly in soil. Once the cuttings develop roots, they can be potted into their own containers. 9. **Pests**: Keep an eye out for common houseplant pests such as spider mites, aphids, and mealybugs. If you notice any pests, treat the plant with insecticidal soap or horticultural oil according to the product instructions. 10. **Repotting**: Tradescantia plants benefit from being repotted every 1-2 years, or when they have outgrown their current container. When repotting, choose a container that is only slightly larger than the current one to prevent overpotting. Also these are toxic to pets, (not that humans would eat them)
