they’re thin and fragile. basically stringy. but my question is should i prop snd put in water the way it is in the vases or cut further? the leaves are upside down now

thank you, idk how the roots rotted but not worried. just concerned with if i can prop the way they are. it’s so strange since they were hanging before

thank you! i’m aware of those things which is what causes confusion! i’ve had this plant for years but i’ll just blame the season change. i know i needed to repot about a month ago. appreciate your help!

Definitely a good idea if you want the leaf to grow all straight but I have had some upside down leaves and they are fine as long as they can see good light they’ll grow towards the window and straighten up from my experience

The cuttings are too long. It will take several weeks to grow enough roots to support such long vines. You will drop leaves before that happens. I suggest leaving only 2 or 3 leaf nodes per cutting to put at least one node under water. It will take about 3 weeks to generate sufficient roots to support a 3 node cutting. You can get many more cuttings after subdividing the current vines and also get a better chance of survival. Additionally, add SuperThrive plant vitamins to help with root growth. Clean the water once a week or more often if dirty. Place in bright indirect sunlight or under a grow light. Good luck. 🍀
