    Make sure the soil is a nice chunky mix, check the soil to make sure you didn’t over water and at that time you can change the soil mix if necessary.

    it’s an alocasia ‘polly’ and likely needs brighter light to maintain more foliage, older leaves on alocasia will often die to “make room” for new leaves in terms of the plant’s energy. they appreciate a chunky, airy media as another commenter mentioned and regular watering
