There are little white eggs in the soil of my plant and I am wondering what to do? I want to stop them before they hatch but I don’t even know what kind of bug it is.

I’d just throw out all the soil and repot with fresh clean soil. I feel like by the time whatever insect comes out of there, it will just become a headache for you. Just be sure to gently rinse the leaves, stems and roots before repotting in case any insects or eggs are clinging to the plant.

Also, spray the roots with 3% hydrogen peroxide to make sure all evidence of larvae are gone.

Are you sure they are not fertilizer beads? They come in blue and an off white variety that is stained darker by the soil. The off white ones look like eggs. Real eggs will burst with liquid. The fertilizer is solid.

Diatomaceous earth is a great way to get rid of any pesky things living in the soil!
