Hi everyone! I am repotting my satin pothos per the recommendation of most people here. It hasn’t been able to take much water for like a year. It looks like mold growing, when I just took it out of the pot? Should I repot as planned, or is the plant too far gone? Thanks!

Ive separated the pothos strands into 4 root clusters! This was the driest soil ever. Do the roots still look OK to pot? Thanks everyone!

I agree the roots look fine. But, the soil looked very dry and the leaves were curled/folded which indicates lack of water. Down sizing to a smaller pot is a good idea. Use a good drainage potting mix. Let the top soil dry out 1 inch to 2 inches deep between watering. Bottom water or fully saturate the soil. Then, drain the excess before putting it back on the shelf. I use Osmocote in the soil, rooting hormone powder when repotting and SuperThrive plant vitamins. Scindapus prefers bright light and higher humidity even though it will adapt to lower light and dryer air. Good luck🍀🪴

The roots look fine, I would just replace the bad soil with some fresh.
