Hello, so I have 11 baby spider plants that I potted a few weeks ago and this is the only one not doing well. Her leaves are turning yellow. But they’re not like crispy or anything just soft yellow leaves. They’re about 5 feet away from a south facing window. I water them around every 10 days during winter. Any help would be great. Thank you. One of the pictures is in comparison to my other plants.

Hi, my guess is maybe too low in the soil and too wet. Best of luck 🪴

I just put her lower in soil. Thanks for the advice, and I took that picture right after I watered her.

Okay I put it higher in the soil, and I took that picture right after I watered her.

i agree with shirley about them being planted too low. if soil media gets between the leaves the lower leaves will die off. how often do you water them? spider plants are drought hardy once acclimated to soil, so i usually recommend gradually decreasing watering after planting.

I just put her higher up in the soil. I water them around every 7-10 days.

in a pot this small that’s likely a good distance between watering. for the first few weeks i’ll wait until the top inch of soil is dry to water, and after that around half of the soil for a month or so before letting the soil totally dry out like i do for my established spider plants. they’re very hardy and will likely recover once the roots are established

How are they looking now? It might take another week to see significant change, but I was curious and thought I’d check in.

A little better. It helped raising them out of the soil a bit.
