Hi there! I’ve got a question about digging up garden plants. So this is a snowberry plant offshoot that my mom and I dug up from my grandmother’s garden - she passed recently and the house is being sold, but we are very fond of her snowberry bushes and wanted to have some. I know it’s quite late in the season to have done this (I’m in Ontario, Canada) but I’m looking for advice on how I can make it last through the winter? It’s as tall as the snowblower in the image, for reference. I’ve got some other smaller ones too.

I think snowberry can be challenging to grow in a container so you may need to give it more attention. Give it lots of light and make sure the potting medium is well draining. It’s cold-tolerant but being dug out stressed it so give it warmer conditions and maybe use something like super thrive either way watering a to help roots recover.
