Has anyone had experience with purslane?! A friend who has a nursery gave me a few cuts of this like 2 weeks ago and HOLY SHEET it has taken off…. It’s literally tripled in size (see the plant linked, look at the progress photos…) do they normally grow this fast? She told me they never do well inside and I was testing my luck here.

She’s right, they need full sun, well draining soil and a little compost or organic fertilizer and they bloom nonstop for months in summer. They drop microscopic seeds and return next season. You might be able to grow inside in front of large west facing windows. Your plant is leggy and a bit pale. Lacks sufficient light. Purslane foliage is dark and thick when in their best condition.

Thank you so much for the information!! I have her in a north facing window right under a grow light but I might move it to a south window
