Hi, I’ve bought this jade tricolour and it’s sitting in very dense, soggy, poor draining soil. It also has some mold/fungus at the top of its soil. Would it be a bad idea to change the soil to well draining soil today or wait a few days

I would go ahead and change it. I have lost (or almost lost) so many plants this way. Sometimes big box stores really overwater the plants, and I’ve also had issues with private sellers just potting a plant into basic soil when they’re selling it, and then it’s completely waterlogged the first time I water it

Oh okay thank you. I will change the soil as I know succulents are so susceptible to root rot and don’t want to risk it
