I have had my queen of the night for several years now and I am wondering if anyone has had any luck with getting a flower to bloom? I read that you should not missed this plant. Is that true? Any information people have would be very helpful as I’ve never had a plant like this before.

I’ve read not to mist any plants. The droplets evaporate quickly and and does not make a significant difference in the humidity.

I’ve had my queen of the night for many years. It lives on neglect. I fertilize in spring with liquid fertilizer. I water when it looks wrinkled (like in the pic) which is usually every two weeks. This is a very old plant propagated from a very old plant from my ancestors. So, going two weeks is fine. It’s huge. I would water a smaller plant more often. Mine lives in half sun/half shade. It bloomed because the temperature was moderate and rain water came after a 3 month heatwave. It didn’t bloom this summer. Too hot. I watered it twice a day this summer. It bloom after the temperature dropped and we had 3 days of rain. I used to force it to bloom by not watering it until it was wrinkled. I don’t mist my plants. I just water regularly after a long 2 weeks dry period and it typically puts out flower buds when it feels desperate. It’s treated like a cactus.
