Can anyone help with my calathea? It recently started extremely drooping. I thought this was due to underwatering so I let it drink by placing it in a bowl of water. I also watered over the top because the soil felt really dry. It isn’t drinking any more water so I’m not sure what the problem is. One more thing to note is that our windows have been closed lately due to excessive heat in our area so it hasn’t gotten much light. Any suggestions?

After the drink, give it a day or two and see if she perks back up. In my experience, upward curling leaves means it was left dry too long so hopefully they unfurl for you in a day or two! And give it a little more light if it was used to that before it started going downhill :)

Definitely under watered. Also technically it’s not a calathea but rather a ctenanthe :p. They don’t need a ton of light and definitely don’t give her any direct light or she will wilt. Also keep away from any drafts especially AC.
