This is a zebra plant and when I got it it had some brown spots on some of the leaves. Although the plant is growing new leaves, the dead spots keep spreading. Should I just cut it or… thanks for your help.

Yes, I would just chop them off. Don’t want to risk it being bacteria or fungus and spreading

i agree with everyone and it could be over water/under water, sun scorch or simply they’re old leaves dying off

I run from these and the ficus cousins, dieffenbachia, Dracaena, and prayer plants.

always cut off the dead and/or ugly foliage!!!! it prevents the plant from wasting energy and encourages new growth!

Should you cut the entire leaf at the stem, or just trim the brown spots off? Thanks!
