I’m not sure if they like the soil to dry out or not, but a universal indicator to if your plant needs watering, is to stick your finger into the soil down to the knuckle and see if it’s dry or not, if it is then water if not hold off for a few days

That was my hardest plant to keep alive. He recently made it to the garbage.
0 likesI think 5 days is even too often, but yours is much larger than mine, so that may be why. It will also depend on how much light it’s getting. They are hardy plants, but don’t like sitting in wet soil, they will start getting brown spots on their leaves. I always do the finger check like suggested above for most of my plants , and then adjust my watering schedule if too wet or dry.

I watered all of my plants today even though Planta said to only do my marigolds. All of my plants were dry. It was hot today where I live and my balcony gets a lot of sunlight so when there’s shade I try to move my plants. But I gave them a good watering today and hopefully they’ll be good for 5 days. But do the stick or finger test and see. That’s how I’ve been determining mine.
0 likesPlanta is wrong here. You’re overwatering. Do once every 2 weeks for now until it looks better, then do once every week. Corn plants are desert plants, highly susceptible to overwatering, very hard to underwater. Let it dry out completely, do not give water for 2 weeks or more.
