So… I thought I may have found a free staghorn fern today, but the fact that there’s stem suggests it’s a dracaena- am I right about that ID ? Thanks in advance!

Oh hmm. Yes, I think dracaena is a closer ID. Staghorn leaves come out next to each other. This one looks like they grow in a rosette pattern out of a main stem. My staghorn has finer roots, like hairs. The stem part of this one resembles a dracaena with the horizontal node lines too

Thanks! I haven’t seen a staghorn in real life so I wasn’t sure

it is a dracaena!! they grow in a rosette formation and their leaves fan out when they reach almost 2.5 feet tall. i’ve had this one since it was a weee propagation. almost 4 years ago.
