It should do well indoors if you’re okay with that. They don’t need a lot of light. But they’ll benefit from a bit of humidity, so some people recommend a bathroom with a shower that gets used often

I keep mine on top of my fridge and she’s thriving. I give her plenty of water and she seems to adore all the indirect sunlight she gets.

I bring mine indoors and put it in a north facing window. It doesn’t grow in the winter and it drops some leaves but it always comes back. I put it in the shower about once every other week for a good soaking.

Boston ferns have been indoor plants for over 100 years. They do well with sufficient light and humidity. They do well in baths and kitchens where humidity is higher. They were known as parlor plants but they need a humidifier or just use the old school method of putting a pebble tray of water underneath it or it will drop an excessive amount of leaves. Good luck 🍀
