Well this has never happened to me before lol. First time growing an alocasia in water and it’s first pup has emerged under the water… not sure what to do? Will it rot in the water? Should I transfer to soil? I might just leave it and see what comes of it. (The leaf is completely under when the roots are) Never heard of this happening so wanted some advice haha

definitely transfer to soil. the leaf will rot if it’s submerged

Try leca or sphagnum maybe? To let the roots hang down under the corm but still reach water, and keep the pup out of water

Like prop it up in leca instead of what people do when they plant in leca, that will let you maintain it as a hydro plant
