Can anyone help me with what to do with my outdoor plants (like Mr hibiscus pictured here) as the temperatures start to change? I have put them in the garage in the past but they never seem happy the next year!

The garage maybe too cold, too dry and too dark for tropicals. You have to provide the right environment.

Hello, I concur with Sunny’s bright insight. Ha! Get it? Sunny. Bright. I’ll make a fortune at the Comedy Club (Unemployment Line more likely.) A healthy hibiscus can continue to grow and produce flowers indoors during winter months. I’ve only tried it twice myself. The first time, no problems. It was a red flowering hibiscus, not too big but not small either. It produced flowers thru winter in my second story middle bedroom window facing east. Some leaves fell here and there but that would happen outside too. The second hibiscus was even more of a tropical, a yellow flower red edges nonsense type from Home Depot. I can’t say that the plant was healthy even when I bought it. The plant seemed fine for most of the summer, but as soon as I brought it indoors, it’s unhealthiness, and any pests that were living in the soil just wiped it out quickly. Will I try a hibiscus again? Most certainly as long as it’s healthy.
