Hey, could anybody tell me what plant this is? When I bought it the tag said it was a silver heart plant or a Setcresea plant? But when I was looking at a video someone called it a silver inch plant. Does anybody know?

tradescantia zebrina is the scientific name. silver inch plant is the preferred common name as “wandering jew” and similar names come from antisemitic stereotypes

The appropriate name is now an Inch Plant or Tradescantia zebrina

They can be a little tricky only in that you have to figure out their watering needs. Try not to get the leaves near the soil wet, balance their watering (not too moist and not dry), and make sure they get enough light

I love my silver inch plant I have one in my office at my work place. I’ve already propagated it for a home plant and it grows really fast!

these plants are awesome. i got mine as a 4” clipping a year ago and it has since grown into a beautiful 3-foot diameter sphere of purple, thanks mostly to the near-constant pruning
