    this is my social media of choice too. i love forums so much, and there’s no good ones online anymore except a select few subreddits. but this app is so wholesome (for the most part) and easy to use… the only thing it’s missing in my opinion is a block button, there’s some posts i just don’t want to see, y’know

      i really enjoy especially being able to help people, because i know quite a lot about plants (it’s probably most of my brainspace)… i try to stay in constant state of learning too so it’s helpful to me when there’s lots of new plants, materials, techniques, and problems that i’m coming across

      couldn’t agree more, I think it’s nice to have a community of people who are interested in the same things and being able to learn from each other 🪴🙌🏼

      I think a good idea is if when you enter the app and select your skill level, if someone selects beginner, the automatic group they end up in is a group for beginners. And then they also have a list of resources, Q&A, etc.

      And then the app could prioritize the groups you like the most. So I could still be a part of the beginner group and occasionally help people, but not have that showing up as almost the only posts I see.

    It’s hard to explain to friends and family on other social media sites why I’m happy to put time, effort and money into my plants! They will never get. So, I come here!😆

      So when mealys took over and I had to clip a pothos I’d been growing for 3+ years that was like three feet long, I literally was so sad and LITERALLY SOBBING and my bf was looking at me like I was crazy. I felt so guilty!! I told a woman at the nursery and she was like “trust me I get it, you don’t have to explain yourself here” LOL

    I so agree. I always tend to see the same people on this app so it makes it feel like a more close knit community and everyone here is always so positive. It’s such a breath of fresh air from other socials tbh
