ok so i don’t know what happened…but i was watering my ivy last night and there was a…well a mushroom in the pot. 😳 ummm, i don’t know how because i definitely didn’t plant a mushroom in there but i was wondering if this is common and maybe it just came from the dirt i used? but i was also wondering if anyone might know what kind of mushroom?? i don’t know if it’s toxic or not and i’m a little nervous šŸ˜…

Can come as mycelium in soil or via spores, typically a sign of healthy soil, and beneficial as a lot of fungi help break down organic matter into nutrients. Just don’t eat them or let a pet eat them unless you’re certain they’re edible. I get thin ones from time to time in my Pothos’ pot. If you see them in the pots of plants that like dry soil, it may mean you’re overwatering or the soil retains too much moisture, but otherwise don’t worry!

I don’t know anything about mushrooms but I get some in my plants time to time, although they’re no where near this size lol. I’ve learned it’s from having too much moisture in the soil. Your mushroom is cute though, I’d name him Larry šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤£
