I ordered these 2 online. The soil was very wet. It’s been a week and the soil remains wet, should I repot in chunky soil?

I’d personally mix their existing soil with the chunky soil so it’s not an even bigger shock

I hate when I get a plant with really stodgy soil. I do prefer chunky mixes, but if you’re worried about shocking them, I’ve heard you can absorb excess with by sticking a tampon in the soil

either this or pull the rootball out and wrap it in a towel for a while, both methods will wick away extra moisture and help prevent root rot. i’ve had plants rot in their pots simply because the soil was too dense and moist :(

I will typically take soggy soil out and try to not disturb the root ball, wrap the root ball with a paper towel if I think it’s still to soggy, and then supplement back what’s needed soil-wise
