I just got the Chinese money plant and have never had one before. Any tips or things I should know like what kind of soil they like how much sun light those kind of things. I also accidentally pulled a leaf off when cleaning it should I cut the stem of the leaf off too? And is the baby big enough to be separated from the mother plant?

I have mine in an eastern window but northern windows are also good (or multiple feet from western/southern windows with sheer curtains. Water when the soil is all dry. You can cut off the petiole (stem) or wait for it to die. The baby is definitely large enough! Dig in the soil to preserve some of its stem/root system. Then pot it separately in soil :) make sure you fertilize some otherwise they can get pale

You really have to experiment with this plant in particular is kinda one of the ones to have a fit but recover from stuff sensitive but fast to mend if that makes sense

I’d cut the stem personally. And would have it in bright, indirect light :)
