Hello! I have a foliage plant not exactly sure what type but recently she has been drooping really bad to one side. Most leaves look good some have brown but the rest are very vibrant! I honestly think she’s too top heavy and I need to trim some of her leaves but I don’t know how to do that properly! The first picture is her right now (i am watering her to see if that helps) the second is how she looked only a few weeks ago. I did move but she is still in a window that faces the sun just like the window at my house so i don’t believe she isn’t getting enough sun, maybe she’s getting too much now.

Another thing i would like to add is that i need to move her to a bigger pot just have not gotten around to it because i’ve been very busy with a new job, so that could be it too!

That’s true that being root bound can cause symptoms.

Its a Dieffenbachia (dumb cane). It’s a tropical foliage preferring warm temperatures, non-tap water, and fertilizer. It’s likely not a weight distribution issue causing the plant to bend. That wouldn’t cause yellowing/browning leaves. Many things cause a the symptoms: 1) Over/underwatering can cause the leaf issues. Under watering can cause the fleshy stems to get weak. 2) Minerals, Chlorine in tap water - Use distilled water, filtered water, etc. 3) Too cold room - The plant is near the air conditioner. Tropical plants can’t take the cold air.

Thank you! now that i have moved she is not by the air conditioner and my air conditioner that i do have (comes out of a vent from the ceiling) will only go down to 72! I will try distilled water next time i water her! again thank you so much for your advice!
