When quarantining new plants, how far away should they be from any other plants? And should I always spray the new plants down with neem oil as well? Just got my first Alocasia and I’m trying to do things right!!

I keep them at least 6 feet away because some pests, such as thrips, can fly. If possible I keep them in a completely separate room. Definitely use diluted Neem oil or Castile soap all over the leaves and stems every few days for a few weeks. After that u should be good ☺️

I know Alocasia are prone to spider mites so look up more info on them and what damage looks like so you can keep an eye out for them!
