Does anyone know if I should be keeping my hydroponic plants in fertilizer contantly? and just topping it off with regular water? Or if I should keep them in regular water then add fertilizer every few changes?

I think you’re supposed to use fertilizer every time you change the water. For a few of my water propagations, I refill during the week with regular water because some evaporate very quickly.

Thanks! I am going to try this with my next water changes for my hydroponic plants, my solution is diluted and I have noticed my plants drink a lot of water!

I’m not personally familiar with hydro, but I know from aquariums that evaporated water should be replaced with distilled water. If your replace evaporation with water that contains minerals or other compounds, it will buildup until levels are too high and eventually harm your plants

I add fertilizer once a month or so to my semihydro plants. But I also don’t put enough water in my plants to last more than a few days. So no need to “top off”.

The fertilizer I use gives me specifics on how to use it for hydroponics, so that’s the first place I’d recommend checking ☺️
