Hello! I recently started using moss poles for my pothos and monsteras, does anyone have any tricks on how to encourage growth in or on the pole aside from attaching the stems onto the pole? Maybe I’m being impatient but I feel like I’m having a hard time getting the plant to use the pole as support and grow with it 😅

Some plants are a bit stubborn to attach. Keep the moss humid if you can. My painted lady philodendron was stubborn because I got the pre-made coco fiber kind of pole that are hard to keep moist. I wrapped it in plastic wrap strips so the leaves could come out but the plastic was around the root nodes and pole. That helped

Keep the moss moist. Those roots look for moisture as well as structural support.

You can always try a closed back moss pole! They’re designed to keep the moss moist for longer
