Is it too late in the season to repot my spider plant? I just got her a couple weeks ago, and was thinking of moving her up to a new pot (she’s in a 10”x6” hanging pot currently - was considering going up to a 12” hanging pot that is nicer to look at than the one she came in. Her roots are starting to show the slightest bit through drainage holes, but I heard they like to be a little root bound and I’m concerned that she won’t appreciate the move halfway through August. She seems super happy now and is putting out a ton of pups. What do you guys think? Wait till spring? Or is it safe to do now?

I personally don’t pay attention to seasonal repotting rules unless it’s a plant that goes dormant. In my opinion, spider plants get root bound so quickly it’s best to just repot whenever you need to

This ⬆️ i repot plants whenever they need it, year round. No issues.

I just started 3 baby spider plants from the mama plant and put them in 4 in pots. I’ll repot as soon as they get a little bigger to carry them through til spring.

Spider plants are durable. They don’t care about the calendar. They will fill up the pot with roots very quickly.
