Hoya rope plant that I just got. Should I remove the pinkish leaves? Are they dead? It’s growing so fast already!

      Is it an Hoya?

Looks like you got a variegated one! The pink parts will turn white over time. They might grow slower than green leaves due to less chlorophyll but they’re not an issue

Yes, it’s variegated per the tag. What does that mean? This plant is new to me but I love it!

Variegated means that there are different colors found on the foliage. It’s a gorgeous plant, the leaves remind me of a Hoya carnosa ‘Krimson Queen.’ I’m curious if it’s a crossbred species.

Here’s what the label at the plant store said. It’s so unique looking!
