it really depends on the plant when choosing a pot size use one thats 1-2 inches bigger then the root ball. some plants like different kinds of soil and drainage. I wouldn't repot when a plant like an alocasia or monstera is pushing out a new leaf and never when its blooming do it after the blooms fall off or die

Dave_opuntiafaceAs far as when, I re-pot a few days after watering. It’s a gentler experience for the plant (I’m also not pulling this info out of my butt).
