Did i kill my monstera? 😬 I noticed that where I had it tied to the moss pole died… maybe it was tied too tight? is there any saving this? Should I trim it? Will it continue to grow new leaves? Help 😰😰

looks like the circulation was cut off, i’d just prune it if it were my plant, since it’ll likely die on its own

Do you think it’ll keep making new leaves after I cut it?

I ask because that was the newest leaf- so I wasn’t sure if the previous leave would produce another one

once trimmed the previous healthy nodes should activate their growth points and produce new leaves. you may even get multiple branches where you once had one

You can also propagate the node on the section you cut off ā˜ŗļø

Oooo would I just cut below and above the node and stick it in water?

It doesn’t look like you tied it too tight. Could it be that the pole burned your plant? Is it new? I would keep an eye on it

Interesting! I wet the pole but that’s about it. Is there something else I should be doing? This is my first moss pole

Did you rinse the pole before you tied the plant to it.
