when is a good rule of green thumb to repot plants?
A couple signs I look for: -Stopped producing new leaves when they should (usually in spring or summer) -Any signs of being significantly root bound (needs more water than usual, stunted growth, etc) -The plant has root rot signs or hydrophobic soil and the pot I’ve used isn’t helping it thrive -I usually shoot for repotting in the spring/late winter so it can settle in and start growing in the warmer months!

thank you! def have a few serious cases. most everything else can probably wait til next apring. Do you recommend repotting right away when you get the new plant home?
0 LikesDepends where I got the plant from/how it’s doing. If it’s from Lowe’s or Home Depot usually their plants are overwatered or have pest so I repot. If the plant is happy in the pot it’s in and isn’t root bound, I let it adjust to my house and then repot!

I usually check them if they are not growing new leaves or look droopy. I repot at night so it's less stressful for them
