Is there any saving this? It definitely got root rotted and I was trying to save it and repot but the roots look awful. What should I do at this point? Thank you for any help. Please tell me it’s not a complete goner.

It honestly looks to me like you still have a chance because your plant looks so healthy and green still! I’d rinse the roots and plant it in a fresh pot that has drainage holes

I do think you should let them dry out a bit before repotting, and regular soil should be fine! Additionally, I would try to propagate some of your healthy leaves from the first plant (just in case the repotting doesn’t work out). As for the cactus, I couldn’t tell you. I don’t have much experience with succulents of any kind
いいね 1件If you’re new to succulents then you 100% want your plants in pots with drainage. Even better terracotta’s or a porous material to help remove moisture from the soil. Regular potting soil: not ideal, holds too much moisture, doesn’t drain as well. If thats all you have then mix in some extra perlite for added drainage. Cacti/Succulent soil would be the best though. You can pot it, but wait a few days before watering. The other one looks like it might be save-able as well. Remove all organic matter from roots of both, then rinse with water. Cut away anything brown and mushy (most plants can handle some root pruning). Repot. Place them in lots of light and give them a week or so to recover.

I don’t know what kind of plant that is, but typically, you can propogate a plant but cutting underneath the node. If you aren’t sure, look up what a node is. You’d also be pretty safe to just cut off about 3 inches from the top on the stem. And stick it in a tiny water vase for a while

Your roots look fine. It doesn’t look like rot to me. I have great success with terracota pots and I make my own soil mix: 1/2 potting soil + 1/2 draining material, my favorite is pumice stone, but any small stone will do. Even perlite, but I prefer heavier rocks. Decomposed granite works as well, jus rinse it.

Your succulent is leggy because it needs more light. Try gradually moving them to a sunnier spot. Take it slowly to avoid sun burn.
いいね 1件Unfortunately I don’t really have much more a sunnier spot. But that definitely makes sense because they r about 6 ft from my back door which is the best lighting I have. Will they survive like this ? I have these on the very end of my table where all my house plants are to get the best light possible. Thanks for ur time and help!!
