hi guys! if there are roots coming out of the drainage holes in the pot of my plant, does that mean it’s time to repot? i see little roots sticking out of my pilea, i have it in a 6in pot right now which is the one i bought it in. if it is time to repot, any tips on that? i’ve never repotted a plant before

I usually use the roots growing out the bottom of the pot as the plant telling me it’s getting right in their current pot. I would report it one size bigger

Hi! I would say it would be time to repot. And repotting is simple and quick! When repotting you carefully remove the plant. Then you carefully try to remove as much dirt as possible from the roots. Then you put it in the new soil and container and 🤌🤌.

I personally don’t have a Pilea (yet 😂). But unlike most of the plants I do have, I’ve heard Pilea don’t like to be root bound. Typically I would just poke the couple roots back in, but in this case, you may want to try and wiggle the plant out of the pot and actually check the root ball.
