I recently got a new leaf on my white bird of paradise, it grew to be the longest leaf (about 2 feet tall), but it got so heavy the minute I touched it it fell off the plant, theres no sign of rot or anything on the stem, does this plant frequently need a stake?

    Any plant that grows large has this potential for so many reasons, but if you suspect a leaf to be fragile I would recommend supporting it. Supporting has never done anyone wrong!
