What is wrong with my Alocasia silver dragon? The new leaves it’s put out are perfect but the old ones are looking so ugly. What’s happening?

That’s too much water uptake, him dripping from the ends. I’d suggest dialing back watering and make sure you are doing it based off recommended soil conditions vs any schedule.

Definitely staying wet for too long. You might not water that often but if the medium is not airy enough, it might still be staying too long.
1 likeI just repotted and added extra perlite!! I also noticed something that I didn’t last time I repotted which was this mesh stuff that I heard Lowe’s and other stores put on the plant. So I took that off as well.

That must be the issue too! I think that mesh constraints the roots so that might be why they couldn’t handle the watering.

Ahhhh death mesh, could for sure be part of the problem

They seem fine otherwise so I would leave them because they are still providing energy to the plant and able to photosynthesize. But it is up to you. I think it’s okay to remove leaves if you just find them ugly and want your plant to look more aesthetic 🤷🏻♀️

They’ll actually fry up once the issue is resolved and be totally fine sans maybe some loss where the tips were wet. I’d keep them
