It’s good for short term, but not for a long term solution. I bought a mini humidifier on Amazon for my ferns and tropical plants and have been seeing great results!

spraying water on the leaves can actually encourage fungal infections, especially on delicate leaved plants like alocasias and calatheas (which are usually the ones people are misting…) your best bet for humidity is either a pebble tray or a humidifier

I agree!! Misting can help for a few hours to a day after but then it is ineffective. Misting can also help clean the leaves of your plants from dust, which can affect their photosynthesis, so even if you invest in a humidifier I would still mist every so often! A nice tabletop/ small humidifier to put near your high humidity requiring plants should do the trick while not making the whole room/ house more humid!
