I did water to soil as well. It is huge now. Was roots long enough? Did you water? Fertilizer? When I transplanted I use root powder. Just so it would grow more roots from the base.

My daughter just gave me a pothos cutting (my 1st one) and it’s in water now until roots grow. Should I dip it in rooting powder once roots grow and it’s ready to transfer to soil/pot? Thx for your help!

Root powder is to help it get roots faster. So if it has roots and you want it to root fast then yes. Dip in root powder. Otherwise it will be about 2 weeks in water and then make sure soil is moist so more will grow. Basically root powder is so instead of 1 root it grows 5.

I have more success starting in soil that in water. I just make sure to keep it moist until there’s some roots.

      This method works too.

Let the roots grow a lot, change water, just try being extra cautious?
