This is Dru, my English oak. Does anyone have any idea what’s going on with him? The base of the stem is so much thinner than the rest, and I’m afraid it will break. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks ahead of time! đŸ™đŸŒđŸ™đŸŒ

    Hmmm are you trying to grow from seed? That seedling does not look like an oak. I’m guessing a seed for something else got into your mix. I’d suggest you leave it for now to see if it develops the ridged leaves characteristic of oak. But consider the possibility that the oak may not have germinated and poked its head up yet. Oak seedlings get their full formed leaves pretty quickly I believe.

      Thanks. Fake Dru has joined the great outdoors. 😂 I don’t know what it was, but it was something that was growing out of the acorn but it was definitely not an oak. I think maybe another seed hitched a ride. So I rehomed it in the forest, and I’m going to try again.
