My parents have this Queen of the Night. Anyone familiar with its growth pattern? They are asking me if they should cut the vine that just keeps growing with no leaves. Any thoughts?

There was one where I used to work. A coworker was always happy to tell us about it. It’s normal according to her to look very sparse. She said that it gets beautiful blooms always at night. And that they smell so good.

That is a very silly looking vine. Don’t cut those off; leaves will grow in eventually. It’s an epiphytic cactus so it’s probably looking for some sort of support and stability before it starts sending the signals that it’s okay to start filling in.
