My first bloom on a Hoya! There were more like 10 flowers on the peduncle to begin with, but some got knocked off during a storm and others dried up and fell off before opening 😔 The flowers smell like tootsie rolls 🙂

    So beautiful!! A bloom on a Hoya is my dream! I only just got my first cuttings tho so it will take a while lol. Congrats!

    May I ask where did you get yours from? I have not been able to find them anywhere locally in Chicago

      I get them locally because I’m in FL but there’s a website that ships a lot of different types of Hoya nationally. It’s called plant proper. They have a website and an Instagram page as well.

      I live in Indiana and have seen Hoyas at Lowe’s before! There is also a local greenhouse that will sell random ones at different times. But most of my Hoyas (including this krimson queen) are from We Are Plant Lovers online

    So fun. I have lots of Hoyas but no blooms yet. I think they may be too young still but like seeing someone had success.

      Same until this year. I have 8 or 9 different Hoyas for a couple years but they haven’t bloomed until now. I think they really love the extra heat and humidity of summer!
