Is there any hope for my begonia? I got her a month ago today and she has started dropping all leaves… hoping I can save her. This is my first begonia, I can’t figure out if it’s over or under watering. The leaves droop whether the soil is wet or dry. (Last photo is day 1)

Soil looks dry. Might check the soil. Also, check to see if she has out grew her home. She may need a bigger space.

It’s dry on top and slightly damp underneath so I watered right after this photo, but the past few days was very moist so i thought I had overwatered. Going to check the roots next!

The trick I learned is water till it comes out the bottom that’s it. Then water when the top 1in to 1.5in is dry. When they stop growing. Check roots to see if they need a bigger house. Or root rot.

Sometimes begonias have a big fit when brought to new environment and drop all or most of their leaves. That pot size is just fine for such a small plant. Could just need to wait for it to move out of shock and start growing new leaves. They do like to dry out a bit between waterings. Not completely, but do let it breathe somewhat.
