Does anyone know the name of this plant? Also, it’s not doing really well, lots of leaves fell… Any advice is very welcomed! Thanks!

    I also tried to rescue a croton. I kept it in a sunny corner in my bedroom and I swear it lost leaves any time I breathed too hard in its general direction, but I have a friend who has one that she keeps outside for most of the year and hers is thriving.

    Croton needs TONS of bright indirect light. With the right amount of light, the leaves have these awesome red/orange/yellow/black colors. This leaf being green shows it hasn’t been getting enough light for a while. Also make sure in the heat that it gets lots of humidity (regular mist) and water when the soil feels dry.

    This is definitely a croton. They grow wild in Florida :) lots of direct sunlight and they don’t like to be too wet and don’t like to dry too much. Even though this sounds complicated mine is thriving by SW window. I don’t mist. I’m in Philly so winters are dry and summers are humid.

    I got is in 2020 from Aldi for $5. It had like 5 leaves and was tiny.
