Use bti drops! Then you don’t have to soak the bits. “Ecological labs AEL20036 microbe lift mosquito control” on Amazon :) the picture shows a tub but there’s a dropper bottle inside. You add one drop per 1-5 gallons of water. It should completely eliminate the issue

I had to let the soil dry. One friend suggested adding sand on top layer and then rocks. I also have used hydrogen peroxide (4 parts water and 1 hydrogen peroxide) soak the soil and this kills the larva. I hate them so much!
2 likesI use mosquito bit pellets from Amazon that you can soak in a water can and water your plants with! It kills larva etc but if you want something cheaper water with some hydrogen peroxide with some water and it’ll kill them too! It might take a few waterings to get rid of them completely but I’ve noticed progress in my plants since doing either/both of these
3 likesIt won’t hurt the plant either?
0 likesNope! I haven’t had any of my plants take any noticeable damage from doing either, I apologize for not being clear about how I water, I won’t do the hydrogen peroxide and the mosquito bit pellets at the same time! I’ll do one or the other or trade off whichever method I want to use when I water. my grandmother taught the hydrogen peroxide trick and the mosquito pellet I learned from a tiktok creator but on the back of the packaging it gives you directions on how to use it for house plants, I hope this helps!

4 likesScoop out the top 2 inches of all affected plants. They lay their eggs in the top couple inches. Either throw out the soil and replace with new or if you want to salvage it bake the soil in the oven for a bit to kill the eggs.

Best sure way is to let them all dry out, put them in direct sun outside a few hours a day. That will really dry the top inch or two. And wait as long as possible to water, when you do, put the pot in a pan or tray and let the water soak upwards. Keep using the sticky papers as well. Be wary of what plants you put in the sun and how hot it is. I also have a 4x4 Amazon greenhouse That lets them get some filtered direct light
