Can plants rot from being over fertilized? I’m trying to figure out what happened with two of my Alocasias that rotted and died today 😔💔 I repotted them recently, waited 1-2 weeks after purchasing them as to not shock them. I made sure I used an appropriate pot size and a chunky mix. I watered when they were almost dry but did not over water. I did use a small amount of Osmocote and I also fertilized with the maintenance dose of Dyna Gro Foliage Pro with each watering. I have no idea what happened 😭 I am so sad. My Cuprea (picture for attention) was one of the victims and she was one of my wishlist plants. I only had her for less than a month 💔

I’m so sorry ☹️ yes plants can rot from being over fertilized. At nurseries, many times plants are heavily fertilized so I’m guessing your two types of fertilizer on top of that caused it
