I told myself I was going to take a break from buying plants for one month. One week in and I'm doing pretty well. I went to the garden shop and I didn't buy any plants...only these cactus from the clearance shelf. I'm really proud of myself! 🤣😉

Well, you tried. They were on clearance for goodness sake!😁
1 likeI was able to walk through Home Depot on and off for three weeks without taking anything home. And then a local place (Cactus and Tropicals in SLC, Ut) had an anniversary sale. On the drive over, I said “only if they have Copiapoa.” And they did! It’s the only local place that has them, and they don’t understand the value/rarity. (They make their money with the “tropicals” side due to Utah being so thick with weddings ha.
1 likeI'm a Utah girl too! My fave is paradise palm but cactus and tropicals is great too. And they send me coupons which is aweso.e. Plant jungle moved to Holladay and they don't have as many plants but they have awesome supplies and pots. I feel like we should get extra points for keeping our plants alive in this climate. My sis in law lives in Portland and what she gets at the Home Depot is vastly different than what we get. 😉 Oh and the green house up and Larkin cemetery will have plant sales too. usually announced on their socials.

I buy a wishlist plant, or my hubby takes me to a nursery, and I just tell him I won’t buy anymore plants “for a while” 😆 apparently I don’t think “a while” is more than a few days 🤣🤣🤣
