Hi guys. I have this African violet and itās my first one and I canāt seem to keep it from loosing leaves. Iāve been bottom watering it. Any advice?

TaeAfrican violets are very resilient. I basically took mines from the point of death to flourishing. I am not an expert at all, so others may have more specific info. Hereās what I learned: -African violets naturally keeps 3 levels of leaves, then the bottom layer of leaves die off. -It keeps regenerating from the top. -it does kind of looks like itās too much water.

Yes so it likes bright, indirect light. Too much direct light would be too much for it. Other than that itās a pretty easy plant in my opinion

BogusiaHi I think it gets to much water and not enough light and in darker areas needs less water you can move it to brighter spot or use small led grow light and it should rejuvenate

MadsHello! My mom kept her AVs under fluorescent grow lights. Iāve continued with that, and follow Plantaās instructions for watering, and theyāre always happy! They definitely get completely dried out between waterings. ā¬ļø Thatās one of her violets. š

GrowWithAmberLoweI have 2, a pink one and a purple on. My purple one is doing incredible and the pink is not happy. I treat them equally (waterings, room, light, humidity, fertilizer). Iām convinced some are more resilient than others.

Iāve killed 2 in the past few years and they started off looking just like yours looks now š© youāve inspired me to pick a new one and try growing it under a grow light like some have suggested. Good luck with your AV! š
